Get your hands into some clay with this practical and fun workshop suitable for beginners to more experienced clay enthusiasts.
Lee-Anne will teach you how to make a set of your own cups without using the potter's wheel, but using a slab method (potentially similar to the cups pictured).
Use these in your kitchen or make them as a gift for family or friends.

Session Time: 10am - 3pm (including light lunch)

Age: any (under 12yrs people must be accompanied by an adult)
Duration: Up to 5hrs
Arrival: About 20mins prior to start time. Please wait in the car park until Lee-Anne comes to collect you.

This workshop is hosted by Lee-Anne Peters at her new Art Studio in Campbell Town, Tasmania.

All materials are supplied, including about 1kg of clay, tools, and colourful decorations. Lee-Anne will do the clear glaze and clay firing x 2 parts for you.

The quantity of cups you make will depend on the size of cups you prefer and the speed of your creations. Could be between 3-6 cups.

This workshop includes a light lunch to share for general and not a specialty diet. If you have special dietary requirements or preferences, please BYO.

Important notes:
Although all care will be taken, your cups will be going through a volatile alchemical transformation from clay to ceramic. There is a slight chance of breakage, and if this happens (which is not that common) then we can discuss options for replacement.
At the Studio your items will be dried, bisque fired, glazed and glaze fired over the space of about 3-4 weeks with great care. Once this part is complete, you will be able to collect yours from the Studio in Campbell Town thereafter. Or we can discuss other collection / postal options if preferred.

This workshop includes:
Approximately 1kg of white earthenware clay.
Lee-Anne will teach you how to make cups using a slab technique, finish them, how to make handles and some decoration options.
Kiln firing and glazing (Lee-Anne will do this for you).
All tools are supplied.
You can decorate your cups with impressions, stamps, fabric or things you find in the garden (bring things from home if you wish).
You can also decorate with a selection of coloured stains / underglazes for arty effects.
Up to 5hr workshop.

If bookings numbers are deemed too low to proceed, you will be offered a full refund.
Payment is required to secure your seat.
If you withdraw longer than 1wk from the event then a full refund will be offered.
If you withdraw less than 7 days prior to the event then the payment can be exchanged for another item or workshop, or you receive a 50% refund.
