We had an exciting month of clay workshops in October. Eight of us ‘sculpted a chook’ and five of us enjoyed our long-awaited ‘Keepsake Jar’ workshop. Both were fantastic. I enjoy seeing people having a go and making such brilliant and personal things out of this versatile material.
Lately I am thrilled to see so many young people advancing their skills, moving to more complex workshops and showing real interest and promise in various forms of art. If there is interest, I am keen to start a Kids Art Club to further nurture and develop drawing and painting skills, and to work on larger projects together. If this may interest you or your child, please reach out.
This month we are celebrating our first birthday! Please see below for; details, the program for the weekend and things you can do or participate in. We’d love to see you over the weekend of 22 or 23 Nov.
On the 26th of October we gathered with members and friends from the ‘Stitch & Beyond’ group to open four of their member’s textile exhibition – Opus #4, variations in stitch. This is our final exhibition opening event until January. We thank the many exhibiting artists and people who have gathered with us throughout 2025 to be inspired and learn from our exhibiting artists. + Glaze firing with our clear glaze (only) to Earthenware or Stoneware temps - $12 p/kg @ time of pre-firing with glaze applied
