Arts & Craft Newsletter - Campbell Town Tasmania - Sept 2026

Edition 30 | September 2026

From the editor:

Term 4 starts for the Kids Art Club on Tues 20 Oct. It occurs weekly and is $12 a session – which covers all paint, canvas, clay and materials used. We will formerly ask for registrations in Oct.

I have some exciting group projects for both my kids and adult groups to share with you very soon.

I am open to your private mentoring requests for children or adults as a one-off or as regular sessions. Please get in touch if this is something you may like to try.

We’re currently in the final stages of preparation to open a Tea Room in our Gallery. We will be offering Asian style, herbal blends and blooming teas. Think: white tea, green tea, oolong tea, black tea and variations of these and unique herbal varieties. The tea flavours are selected to speak for themselves, so we will not be serving sweeteners or milk. We will not serve coffee or food either – as there are plenty of options for these in the town. We hope to open later in October.

Roadworks are scheduled to begin for stage 2 of the Campbell Town streetscape next week, and are due to continue into December (in theory). They will now only be working on the King & Queen St side street parking and the King St intersection (where our gallery is). This will be difficult for business and we’d like to remind you that we will be open every day that we can. Speaking with the contractors, it looks like we will need to be closed for one day while concrete is poured. We won’t have a lot of notice for this, so will keep you updated on our Facebook, or please call if you are coming through specifically - this shouldn’t be until Oct / Nov. We hope, that if you would like to browse, shop or attend an event that you will still be inspired to walk through our doors.

We have some great activities, events, exhibitions and workshops coming up. Please check out our calendar below and let us know if we can help with any queries you may have.

Happy creating and thanks for reading,

Lee-Anne Peters
