Turkey Tail Fungi
Enthralled by the abundance of fungi revealing themselves at Mt Field National Park, the Turkey Tail Fungi were dry, but bright within the leaf litter and depth of the rain forest.
Like a beacon – a sign of life on the forest floor.
While most of the fungi rise up in the masculine form – like a mountain, a pyramid, the blade.
The Turkey Tail was one of the only I saw that was feminine in form – like a chalice, valley, a pyramid pointing down.
With such an exciting abundance of the rising masculine-like fungi, the deep-drawing Turkey Tail called me further inward, downward, into the Earth, into myself.
It called me to anchor and integrate the strong pull upwards and the new surge that was rising.
