In the shadows,
Within the darkness of the unknown,
Reside our fears.
They lurk,
Like a looming mountain,
Or a brewing storm.
Yet, there in the shadows,
Resides our courage,
We but turn on the light of the darkened room,
And we see the fear for what it is.
We bring our inner monsters out into the light,
We face those monsters with as much courage as we can muster, and then…
We realise that the more fearful we are of the fear,
The more the fear tries to stop us! When in fact,
The best antidote to the paralysis,
Is to face the fear,
And to step through its veil,
With courage, and a willingness to:
try something new and see what we might be capable of in our life.
