Daughter’s Dream
My daughter is an amazing woman who pushes through her challenges and works incredibly hard.
She loved art as a child and lost it in college.
She turned away from art.
For a few years she was lost, so I reminded her of art. She remembered and worked so hard to improve.
Realising her dream to become a tattoo artist, my daughter practiced and volunteered for over a year before she was put on as an apprentice.
Now she is an artist for a living.
My daughter figured it out, she brought it together, and that I see in this painting.
This is my daughter’s dream, and I couldn’t be prouder of the talented woman she is.
My daughter wrote:
"Dear art,
I've missed you since I left you behind in college. You were the thing I didn't know I missed until I took you back up again. And now I have you I won't be able to stop. Is that a bad thing? Maybe. Is it a good thing? Definitely! I embrace you with open arms and won't let you go for that many years again. I missed this passion, this drive to constantly pick up a pencil. And thanks to my mum, I've picked it up again."
